OUR THEORY - Yeah, That's Right (Nublu France) Comentários: While out on tour, Nublu founder Ilhan Ersahin, ended up in a jam somewhere with French trumpet player Erik Truffaz. The two clicked immediately and decided to record a few sessions together. Ilhan brought in Thor Madsen (guitar player from Wax Poetic) and together they entered the journey now presented to as the project Our Theory, a statement of sounds that resonates with a cinematic/orchestral feel. The melodies, harmonies and rhythm transport you to the middle of New York City with one window looking into Paris, another into London and one window looking straight into the nature of a distant place which might be paradise. Call it the jazz of today or nu-jazz as its more commonly known in Europe today, or simply as Ilhan prefers it: music. This 12" features Jan Jelinek's (~Scape) minimal left-field remix of "Yeah, That's Right" a song originally written as a tribute to late great tenor sax man Eddie Harris. nota do editor [Para Ouvir/Samples]

In addition to all these cooperations, Florence has locally released a series of albums under her own name and without a doubt, she can be called the queen of Frafra-Gospel. "Mam Pe'ela Su'ure" is a typical Frafra-Gospel Hymn, sung during Sunday services accompanied only with shakers and hand clapping. Our version here is backed up by Kumasi's finest High Life players, who transform the song into a massive wave of groove. "Naba Aferda" is a homage to the Chief of Zuarungu, Florence's home village, which was also the home village of
